What is ReadPlease 2003/ReadPlease PLUS?

ReadPlease 2003 and ReadPlease PLUS are software programs that convert text to speech. This software uses an easy to use interface where all the user has to do is to copy and paste the text that is warranted to be converted in the program window and then press the Play button. There are four natural-sounding human voices that include 2 males and 2 female voices, Sam, Mike, Mary and Marilyn. With the ReadPlease software program, font sizes of the text and pitch and speed of the voices can be controlled to achieve the setting that the user prefers. The voices used for these software programs speak in American accents, however, voices that speak in British accents and voices from other nations can also be downloaded. A unique feature of this software is that it is also able to read emoticons such as happyface and sadface. This software helps the user identify grammatical errors, spelling blunders and even missing words. The ReadPlease 2003 standard software is open sourced although the ReadPlease Plus and other versions need licensing. This software works well in various Windows operating systems which include Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows ME, Windows 98 and Windows 95.
