What is MicrosoftR Access?

Microsoft Access is software that provides the user with a database manager, powered by the Microsoft Jet Database Engine and integrated with a Graphical User Interface. The software’s main function is as a Relational Database Management System program, which provides the user with program for encoding and storing large amounts of data with multiple attributes.Every time the program is launched, a Microsoft Access window appears, which provides the user with the following options to start the program: Create a New Database Using: Blank Database or Database Wizard, or Open an Existing Database. Ticking off any one of these options and clicking OK will get the program running.Creating a new database, the user will be taken to a blank database (after choosing a default location for the file) and will be provided with the following options: Tables, Queries, Forms, Reports, Macros and Modules. Each of these options opens a new set of tools for specifying tasks that the user wants to do. For instance, under Tables, the New Table tab will allow the user to specify the View display, i.e. Datasheet View or Design View; as well as launch certain tools such as Table Wizard, Import Table or Link Table.
