Age of Empires II: The Conquerors Expansion or abbreviated as AoC or AoK: TC is the expansion of Age of Empires II: The Age of Kings. The Conquerors is the fourth installment of the Age of Empires game series. Five new civilizations including, Mayans, Spanish, Aztecs, Huns and Koreans are featured in this expansion, plus eleven new units, four new campaigns, twenty-six new technologies, new maps, new gameplay modes and other minor changes to the play.New game modes are King of The Hill, Wonder Race and Defend The Wonder. Some maps are based on real geographical locations. It added new tropical and winter terrains. In-game upgrades provided more unit choices. Chat commands are also added for more effective communication with allies. Four single-player campaigns added are based on El Cid adventures, Montezuma’s fight against Hernan Cortes, Attila the Hun and Battles of the Conquerors [single scenarios not related to each other based on independent historical battles such as Erik The Red, Battle of Tours, Battle of Lepanto, Battle of Agincourt, Battle of Hastings, Battle of Noryang and Battle of Manzikert.Twelve additional units introduced in The Conquerors expansion are Halberdier, Hussar, Elite Eagle Warrior & Eagle Warrior, Petard, Elite Jaguar Warrior & Jaguar Warrior, Elite Plumed Archer & Plumed Archer, Elite War Wagon & War Wagon, Elite Turtle Ship & Turtle Ship, Elite Conquistador & Conquistador, Missionary, Elite Tarkan & Tarkan, Elite Genitour & Genitour and Bleda The Hun.
